Vallejo Pit Bull Bites Child; Kills Dog

A pit bull is being held in quarantine at, Solano Animal Control, after killing another dog and biting a child at a Vallejo Park, on Wednesday.

Two groups of children were playing at the park when the dog attacks occurred, according to Vallejo Animal Control and witnesses. One minute they are playing and the next they were screaming. The pit bull grabbed a smaller dog from the arms of a young girl. The dog, a Maltese, was dead on arrival. The little girl suffered a dog bite to her left hand, according to Vallejo Animal Control.

Vallejo Animal Control showed up within minutes. Officials are expected to review the case and determine the fate of the dog.

The kids were walking the pit bull for a family friend when the attack occurred.
