A 49-year-old man lost his life Friday night in a fatal motorcycle accident, on Verano Avenue in Sonoma, when he collided with a pickup truck and was thrown from his bike.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10:15 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol.

CHP said, the man was driving his 1977 Honda motorcycle west on Verano when he collided with a 40-year-old man, also of Sonoma, driving his Chevy truck. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

No arrests have been made at this time. CHP asks anyone with any information to please contact them.
