A 52-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident, when a car slammed into his motorcycle, east of the Bay Bridge toll place.

The accident happened on westbound Interstate 80 around 5am. The biker was traveling to his job in San Francisco.
Police found the suspected vehicle, a 1990 black Honda in the toll plaza parking lot, but they have not yet been able to find the driver. When found, the driver could face felony hit-and-run and felony manslaughter charges for leaving the scene of the accident.

"It started out as a crash, but once the person flees the scene you are looking at criminal charges," Cross said. "You've taken a bad situation and made it a lot worse."

The Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading into the left lane when the Honda crossed several lanes, crashing into him. The biker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are currently investigation ownership of the Honda because it was sold within the last few months and there are registration issues that need to be sought out.
