One woman was killed and six others were transported to the hospital with serious injuries after a single car accident on the Interstate.

The accident happened, Friday at 4:30 p.m., when the driver of a mini van traveling south on Interstate 5, lost control of the vehicle while traveling 70 to 80 miles per hour and hit the center divider. The van rolled over, ejecting six passengers.

Two off duty paramedics and two off duty doctors stopped to help aid the victims involved in the accident. Two of the six occupants were transported by helicopter to the hospital.

California Highway Patrol says it appears the occupants did not have their seat belts on while traveling home from work on a farm.
